About Us

Early in 1998, an interested group of citizens was asked by the Oakville Town Council to serve as an advisory committee to establish an Oakville Sports Hall of Fame.

The committee has evolved into an independent body, incorporated to provide a place that will serve as a site of homage for Oakville’s outstanding athletes, coaches and founders, who have distinguished themselves through their contribution to Sport.

Further, the Oakville Sports Hall of Fame, over time, will develop a scholarship and bursary fund to provide assistance to our young developing athletes.

Those who have been inducted to the Sports Hall of Fame have achieved standards of performance excellence that will serve as inspiration to those in our town presently engaged in the pursuit of excellence in sport.
